Environmental Impact

From the beginning, the protection of the environment has been a priority for Roche’s founding family. This legacy has inspired us to take concrete action to fight climate change and protect the environment. Our employees play a key role in this.

Since 2004, we have reduced our energy consumption by 48% per employee. Driven by decreased energy consumption and use of fossil fuels, our CO2 emissions dropped by 67% per employee in the same period. Since the early 2000s, we have been measuring our environmental impact, ranging from the consumption of energy and resources to the emission of by-products and waste. And we have set ourselves ambitious targets for the future.

Roche Diagnostics Australia is an active member of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO).
