Roche Diagnostics Announces India Leadership Transition: Marco Valencia Sanchez Appointed as General Manager

25 June, 2026, Mumbai: Roche Diagnostics today announced a key leadership transition for its India and Neighboring Markets business. Effective August 1, 2026, Marco Valencia Sanchez will assume the role of General Manager, Roche Diagnostics India, succeeding Rishubh Gupta, who has been appointed Head of Subregion Africa for Roche Diagnostics, based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Rishubh Gupta, who joined Roche India in 2023, successfully navigated complex market dynamics and strengthened the organisation's focus on expanding diagnostic access across India and its neighboring markets. In his new regional role, he will join the Roche Diagnostics EMEA-LATAM Leadership Team.

Reflecting on his tenure, Rishubh Gupta shared: "Leading the India and Neighboring Markets team has been an extraordinary privilege. I am deeply proud of the passion, grit, and customer-first mindset our team has demonstrated in making advanced diagnostics more accessible across the region. Marco Valencia Sanchez steps into the role of India General Manager with a 17-year career within Roche. Having held key global, regional, and affiliate leadership roles, Marco most recently served as the Country Manager for Roche Diagnostics Philippines for the past four years, driving significant market growth and operational excellence. He will be relocating to Mumbai with his family.
