Every day, more than 1 million people acquired an STI worldwide¹ and cases are on the rise.² Even though testing and treatment are available, STIs remain some of the most incorrectly treated medical conditions for a variety of reasons. STI signs and symptoms are often non-specific and overlapping. Multiple STIs can present in one patient, and up to 90% of STI cases can be asymptomatic.³

Most STIs are treatable, but appropriate treatment requires accurate diagnosis. In addition to the high-throughput regular and routine STI testing provided by labs, clinicians and their patients need more access to STI testing on demand and at the point of care.
