A complete system, FLOW automates your primary sample handling, nucleic acid purification, PCR setup, and amplification detection, with data sent to your LIS via a single connection. Building on well-established technology, the FLOW system can help you efficiently test up to 384 samples and offers the potential to generate up to 6000 qPCR results in eight hours.

How does it work? Samples are first loaded onto the FLOW primary sample handling system, which scans the primary tubes labeled with a barcode and retrieves the work list from the LIS. Once the tubes are scanned, the sample handling system pipettes and prepares the samples from the primary tubes into a plate for the Magna Pure 96. The GMP-manufactured, FLOW primary sample handling system works for a large variety of sample types. It offers clock detection and a closed housing. Next, the plate is placed on the Magna Pure 96, where sample preparation is completed in just one hour. Providing purified nucleic acid for the amplification process.

Preparation of the consumables is very easy. The software clearly shows what consumables and reagents are required and where to place them. The system confirms that everything is in place and begins the purification process once the system check is complete. There is no guessing or writing anything down.

The GMP-manufactured and IVD-registered MagNA Pure 96 system offers consistent sample handling with excellent lot-to-lot precision.

The third step is the PCR setup. Historically, PCR setup has required many tedious steps. These are now all automated within the instrument and the software. Everything is controlled by the system, including pipetting, checking, and cross-checking the samples. The GMP-manufactured, FLOW PCR setup system provides data-driven pipetting of 96 and 384-well plates.

The fourth step is placing the plate in the LightCycler® 480 for amplification and detection. This user-friendly system easily supports multiplex assays. The Roche software manages the entire process. You no longer need to write anything down or keep track of individual samples.
