How to optimise GDMT (guideline directed medical therapy) for heart failure patients
Managing heart failure patients with multiple comorbidities often involves clinical situations that are not fully addressed by standard guidelines.
The ESC Heart Failure Association (HFA) is hosting an educational webinar on 19 January focusing on the management of complex heart failure patients, based on insights from a recent DELPHI consensus initiative.
During this session, international experts will discuss how expert consensus may help bridge the gap between guideline recommendations and real-world clinical practice.
Agenda highlights include:
Beyond guidelines: managing complexity in heart failure care
Practical considerations for patients with renal impairment, hypotension, and advanced age
The role of biomarkers in supporting treatment optimization
Translating expert consensus into clinical practice
The session will be moderated by Assistant Professor Jozine Ter Maaten and will feature case-based discussions with:
- Professor Alexandre Mebazaa
- Professor Hadi Skouri
- Doctor Cornelia Margineanu
