About run types and workflows The MagNA Pure 24 System offers 4 run types:
Purification (rack) run In a purification (rack) run, the instrument pipettes sample material from sample tubes, processes it, and transfers the eluates to the output consumables in the cooling station.
The purification (rack) run is the fully automated combination of a sample transfer run and a purification (cartridge) run.
Purification (cartridge) run In a purification (cartridge) run, the processing cartridges are pre-filled with sample material, either in a previous sample transfer run, or by manual pipetting. The instrument processes the sample material, and transfers the eluates to the output consumables in the cooling station.
In the case of a previous sample transfer run, open the corresponding order to load sample details.
Post elution run In a post elution run, the instrument pipettes eluates into 8-tube strips (either empty or containing manually prepipetted PCR master mix reagent). From each eluate, the instrument pipettes up to 2 eluate aliquots. Additionally, the instrument pipettes controls. Sample information from a previous purification run is loaded when reading the barcodes of the eluate output consumables.
A post elution run uses the cooling station only and requires a dedicated post elution adapter.
Sample transfer run In a sample transfer run, the instrument pipettes sample material from sample tubes into processing cartridges.
You can then use the sample-filled processing cartridges in a purification (cartridge) run.
The run types differ in input and output and use different instrument stations.(see Fig. 2).
