CINtec® Histology pathologist staining interpretation training

The CINtec® Histology product is part of a fully automated immunohistochemistry (IHC) assay for the qualitative detection of the p16 protein on slides prepared from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded cervical biopsies. Learning modules are available for medical professionals to enhance their understanding of cervical biopsy interpretation related to p16 and CINtec® Histology.

Courses in this series

Module 1 — Review of cervical biopsy H&E interpretation

This module will review the key points to keep in mind when evaluating the histopathology of hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) stained cervical tissue specimens.

  • H&E stained cervical tissue specimen key points

Module 2 — Mechanism of p16 expression

In this module you will learn:

  • The CINtec® Histology test indication for use
  • p16 expression in healthy cervical tissue and cervical dysplasia

Module 3 — Interpretation and clinical use of the CINtec® Histology test

In this module you will learn:

  • How to interpret the CINtec® Histology test within formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded cervical biopsy specimens
  • How to interpret positive versus negative CINtec® Histology status
  • How the CINtec® Histology test should be used clinically
  • Case examples for staining results

Module 4 — CINtec® Histology test interpretation tips

The interpretation of the CINtec® Histology test is straightforward in many cases. Nevertheless, as with any test, some cases are more challenging. This module covers:

  • Examples of challenging cases

  • Interpretation tips
