Featured workshops

Spotting the Target: Recognizing epNEC and the role of DLL3

Saturday, Oct. 3 | 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Speakers

Dr. Sylvia Asa, Pathologist, Cleveland Medical Center
Dr. David B. Zhen, Medical Oncologist, University of Washington

This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of extra-pulmonary neuroendocrine carcinomas (epNEC), a rare, high-grade malignancy arising outside the lungs, with a special focus on the emerging role of DLL3, a new targetable biomarker. Participants will understand the emerging role of precision medicine in epNEC and the importance of biomarker testing from both medical oncology and pathology viewpoints. Participants will learn the current DLL3 testing methodologies and biomarker expression and scoring in epNEC tissues.

One Slide, Multiple Signals: Dual ISH for Kappa/Lambda and other Multiplex Applications in Hematopathology*

Sunday, Oct. 4 | 11:45 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Speaker

Magdalena Czader, M.D., Ph.D.,Virgil Moon Professor of Pathology, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Indiana University

Workshop Overview: As tissue diagnostic demands increase in complexity, multiplexing technologies are transforming how pathologists assess cellular signals and disease markers. This workshop explores the cutting edge of hematopathology workflow efficiency and diagnostic precision, featuring the practical utility of innovations in Dual ISH alongside advanced research multiplexing capabilities and applications. Attendees will gain valuable insights into the recently launched VENTANA® Kappa and Lambda Dual ISH assay—examining real-world performance, clinical methodology comparison data, and practical implementation strategies.

Advancing Precision Medicine in NSCLC – The Role of Digital and Computational Pathology Tools to Inform Patient Identification

Sunday Oct. 4 | 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Speaker

Vagisha Sigamony, Ph.D., Digital Pathology Specialist, Roche Diagnostics

This two-part, interactive, practice-oriented workshop covering digital and computational pathology in oncology.

Part 1:  Participants will learn how DP/CP can enhance diagnostic accuracy, how Quantitative Continuous Scoring (QCS) supports tumor profiling, and how TROP2 may function as a predictive biomarker in mNSCLC.

Part 2: Focuses on research workflows—featuring a live demonstration of the Roche scanner and navify® Digital Pathology with the TROP2 (EPR20043) NSCLC RUO algorithm*—and will provide practical insights into image acquisition, analysis, and workflow integration.
