Julie Zielinski is a pediatric critical care nurse working at a large children's hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a pediatric critical care nurse, she cares for newborns up to young adults, with a variety of life-threatening conditions. Caring for this vulnerable population has opened her eyes to the important role healthcare professionals play in preserving a patient and family's quality of life. She aims to not only save lives through advancements in medicine and medical technology, but to protect the values, identities, memories, families, and experiences that make our patient's human.
