Anna Birna Almarsdóttir

Anna Birna Almarsdóttir, PhD, MSPharm

Professor at The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen 

Anna Birna Almarsdóttir received her Ph.D. in Health Policy and Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA (UNC) in 1994. She is trained as a pharmacist in Iceland and holds a M.S. in Pharmacy Administration from UNC. She has previously held professorships at the University of Southern Denmark and the University of Iceland. She is currently Professor of Social and Clinical Pharmacy in the Research group for Social and Clinical Pharmacy, University of Copenhagen. Her research interests include pharmaceutical policy analysis, developing new clinical pharmacy services, and patient involvement in drug therapy decision-making.
