The kit consists of 2 PCR primer mixes - 66 bp and 191 bp to generate 2 different sized amplicons. A quality score (Q-score or Q-ratio) that correlates with sample quality can be determined by using the ratio of the long amplicon to the short amplicon. The Q-ratio ranges from 0 to 1, with higher Q-ratios meaning higher quality samples.
