The product should be interpreted by a qualified pathologist in conjunction with relevant clinical information, and proper controls. This product is intended for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use. en VENTANA HE 600 Eosin provides a counterstain for the hematoxylin stained cellular nuclei and also allows the non-nuclear tissue components to be clearly differentiated from each other. Eosin Y (C.I. no. 45380) is the most commonly used dye and is a tetrabrominated derivative of fluorescein. Acetic acid is added to eosin formulations to enhance the selectivity and strength of the dye solution. The VENTANA HE 600 Eosin reagent allows the user to distinguish between the cytoplasm of different types of cells and between the different types of connective tissue fibers and matrices by staining these components varying shades of red and pink.The VENTANA HE 600 system is an automated, high-volume, hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) stainer.
