Vaginitis care is shifting. The path from symptom to successful treatment is often complicated by evolving diagnostic technologies. As molecular multiplex panels expand and interest in the vaginal microbiome grows, the promise of broader detection raises new questions about interpretation and clinical relevance. Are we keeping pace with the complexity and nuances of vaginitis while being mindful of the impact on patient outcomes?
This presentation will cover vaginitis best clinical practices, the utility of diagnostics to support care, common pitfalls in real-world settings, and future (hopeful) directions. Through case-based examples from community health systems and non-academic centers, we will highlight practical challenges and opportunities for more effective, team-based approaches.
